Tangible Needs + Focused Resources = Kingdom Impact
Our generation of leaders has never faced more challenges that could potentially divide the Church: COVID-19 issues, racial unrest, political extremism, and so much more. Which is what makes this year’s Leadership Gathering all the more important. Regardless of the size, tradition, or location of your church, we must intentionally pursue relationships and trust that can help us be more #UnitedInLove. As in year’s past, our gathering this year will focus on some of the most pressing needs in our city, and how we can work together to bring the resources of the local church to address them. We will also have a time of prayer, breaking pastors into small groups to pray together across racial, denominational, and social lines.
The Citywide Worship Gathering is a beautiful opportunity to worship as one Church, celebrating how God is continually transforming the city of Colorado Springs. This service is ecumenical, honoring a variety of Christian traditions. We invite you to join us! This year, we will host the gathering online, we invite you to worship with us from the comfort of your own home.
CityServe Day is a no-strings-attached, city-wide day of service where “all are welcome to serve and be served.” The motivation is simple – when a city prospers, so do its people. Join as we serve schools, parks, local non-profit organizations, and neighborhoods, serving some of the most prominent needs in our city.
COVID Adjustments: Indoor projects are limited to groups of 10 people or less (exception: if we have a large enough space to social distance groups) and outdoor projects are limited to groups of 25 or less. We are requiring masks for the entirety of CityServe Day. We are also creating projects (example: drive thru options) that enable more individuals to serve while remaining isolated. We will not be having rallies before projects this year.
